Baby Bronx

What a fun day this newborn shoot turned out to be for so many reasons. First off, I was nervous to photograph little Bronx as this was my very first newborn photo shoot. Ideally, a newborn should be photographed the very first week after birth, ideally between 5-6 days old. This way the baby sleeps and the photographer can position the baby into creative positions without upsetting the baby. I was contacted by my friend Veronica, baby Bronx’s mama when he was a little over a week old. I was very excited to schedule a time to come over but with my work schedule, it made it a little challenging. I was able to come over one afternoon when baby Bronx was 10 days old. I was nervous that he would be awake and hard to position into the cute poses that I wanted to do, but as soon as I arrived my nerves changed to excitement. Bronx was so clam and easy to work with which made the day so enjoyable. Veronica was such a happy mama and was not nervous at all to let me handle her little bundle of joy. The most touching part of the day was when Veronica and her husband Dave brought over Dave’s father’s Harley helmet. Sadly, Dave’s father passed away before ever getting a chance to meet his beautiful grandson. We were able to get the most amazing pictures of baby Bronx resting peacefully in his grandpa’s favorite helmet which brought a tear and a smile to everyone’s face. Out of all the images I took that afternoon, baby Bronx was the most peaceful in grandpa’s helmet. I will never forget that moment and how it touched my heart. Thank you Saverino family for letting me into your home and into your life.
